How to maintain a Refrigerated Truck?

As a special vehicle, refrigerated trucks must pay attention to some precautions before driving to prevent unnecessary troubles. It is recommended to conduct the following inspections before loading goods and driving each time:

1. The fuel, diesel or gasoline supply for refrigerated trucks must be sufficient to ensure that the engine runs to at least the next checkpoint.

2. The engine oil supply for refrigerated trucks should be at the (full) mark, and do not overfill (replace once a year).

3. Check the coolant level gauge of the refrigerated truck to see if the coolant level is correct, and the pointer should be within the white range. If the coolant level is within the red range, add coolant to the coolant tank. Usually, the coolant is a mixture of ethylene glycol and water (in different proportions depending on the actual usage of the product), and protection should be provided to prevent freezing at -34 ℃. Attention: Do not open the lid of the coolant tank when the coolant is hot.

4. The wiring terminals of the refrigerated vehicle battery must be firm and free of corrosion. The electrolyte should be at the full mark.

5. The belt must be kind and adjusted to the appropriate tightness. A sag of 13mm at the center of the span between the pulleys.

6. Electrical inspection: Check all electrical connectors in the electrical control circuit to ensure they are securely fixed. The wires and terminals should be free of corrosion, burning, cracking, or moisture.

7. Visually inspect the unit for leaks, loose or broken parts, and other damages.

8. The installation gasket of the gasket unit should be firmly pressed and in good condition.

9. The condenser and evaporator coils of the refrigerated truck should be clean and free of dirt.

10. Check the defrost drainage device to ensure that the defrost drainage hoses and fittings are unobstructed.

11. When loading the cargo compartment, the goods should not obstruct the evaporator's air outlet and return air outlet. Keep the cold air circulation in the cargo compartment smooth to ensure that there are no hot spots inside the compartment

Therefore, scientific maintenance and upkeep can not only ensure the integrity of equipment, but also reduce operating costs.
