A refrigerated van refers to a specialized transport vehicle equipped with insulated compartments and refrigeration devices for refrigerated transportation. Nowadays, refrigerated and insulated vehicles are the main means of transportation for road refrigerated transportation, mainly composed of car chassis and on-board refrigerated compartments. Among them, the car mounted refrigerated compartment is composed of an insulated compartment body and a refrigeration device. As a crucial equipment for cold chain logistics transportation, refrigerated trucks play an irreplaceable role in improving people's living standards and ensuring the transportation of perishable food or drugs in low-temperature environments. Among them, the insulated compartment and refrigeration unit are the main factors for refrigerated trucks to achieve refrigeration and preservation transportation efficiency. In recent years, with the growth of refrigeration and insulation techniques, the related craftsmanship of refrigerated vehicles in China has also made rapid progress, especially in the insulation and refrigeration techniques of refrigerated vehicles.

As the main transportation equipment in cold chain logistics, the insulation performance of refrigerated trucks is crucial. Whether the insulation performance is superior depends entirely on the insulation materials used in the box panels, the hot bridge, and the processing technology of the box panels.
1. Insulation material
At present, the commonly used thermal insulation materials in the market mainly include: expandable polystyrene (EPS), polyurethane rigid foam (PU) and extruded polystyrene insulation board (XPS).
EPS is a polymer blend that has the characteristics of fast molding, thick color, acid resistance, and excellent mechanical properties, making it widely used. EPS foam is a microporous and honeycomb foam material. Its special physical structure enables it to contain a large amount of air inside the plate and seal it inside the material. Therefore, ESP plate has the effects of heat insulation and sound insulation, and is widely used in large and medium-sized refrigerated storage guest houses, building internal and external wall insulation, refrigerated compartment insulation and other fields.
Rigid polyurethane foam (PU) is a kind of high molecular material with carbamate characteristic unit in the main chain. It has good thermal insulation performance, reliable strength, as well as sound insulation, corrosion resistance and other properties. It can be used to make the insulation box of a refrigerated truck through injection foaming. In addition, polyurethane adopts the hard foam method and is hot pressed into polyurethane hard foam composite panels (commonly known as "sandwich" composite panels) by pressing fiberglass, fiberglass felt, resin adhesive, etc. It has superior comprehensive performance and ultra-low thermal conductivity (its thermal conductivity coefficient is only 0.018-0.024W/m.k, 25 ℃), and a softening coefficient of over 250 ℃.
