New Trends in Refrigeration Methods for Refrigerated Trucks

Although mechanical refrigeration technology is mature, reliable in operation, and stable in performance, there are still many shortcomings, such as the need for power drive (either self powered motor drive, or driven by car engines), and the susceptibility to Freon leakage. With the continuous growth of environmental protection, the technology of refrigerated trucks has proposed new concepts of environmental protection and energy conservation, especially the research on new refrigeration methods, which provides new choices for the growth of refrigerated trucks.

The series of dry ice type ice packs with phase transition temperatures of -55 ℃, -33 ℃, -18 ℃, -12 ℃, and -6 ℃ completely solves the awkward situation of relying solely on dry ice as a refrigerant in low-temperature distribution. Dry ice low-temperature ice bags can be stored like common popular ice bags and are very convenient to use. Before use, place it in a low-temperature refrigerator to fully freeze it. When using it, take it out and put it in an insulated box at the same time as the item, and seal the box mouth to maintain the low temperature for more than 120 hours, ensuring the safe delivery of biological agents and food. This craft fills the international gap in the industry and brings new dawn to aviation low-temperature delivery. In recent years, scholars have proposed the technology of using liquid CO2 vaporization refrigeration for refrigerated trucks. Its working principle is similar to that of liquid nitrogen refrigerated trucks, and it has the advantages of large refrigeration capacity, rapid cooling, accurate temperature control, economic reliability, and environmental friendliness. Economic analysis of the technology of liquid CO2 refrigerated trucks has been conducted, and experimental research has been conducted on the flow characteristics and mass flow characteristics of liquid CO2 in capillaries, obtaining the optimal capillary length that matches the cooling load. Their research has opened up a new path for China's Refrigerated Truck technology.
